Huaiyang Garden, a contemporary oriental oasis
Nestled within a world-class hotel, The Londoner Macao, Huaiyang Garden is a luxury high-end Cantonese restaurant inspired by traditional Chinese gardens, weaving a story of a modern oriental "secret garden".
Paying homage to the origins of Huaiyang cuisine, which are deeply rooted in the artistry of Chinese calligraphy and ink painting, the design reflects this rich heritage in bespoke architectural materials.
The façade is a prelude to the enchanting interior, exuding an air of mystery with reclaimed stone bricks from old Chinese gardens and “garden moon windows”. In the dining room, a hand-painted wall with gold gliding is set against a blue backdrop, the latter symbolising water and clouds with lotus leaves and weeping willow branches.
Meanwhile, a semi-private dining room (Fragrance Room) takes its cue from the sweet osmanthus flower, featuring customised wall panelling and hand-crafted embroidery, while private dining rooms (The Pavilions) are nature-inspired with bold colours and unique patterns.
From concept to completion, the transformation of Huaiyang Garden was thoughtfully crafted to take guests on a culinary journey infused with opulence, tradition, and tranquility.
